James Cruz is a veteran leader whose approach to security is shaped by service, discipline, and responsibility. As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he led teams in high-pressure environments where preparation, accountability, and trust were essential to mission success.
His military experience instilled a leadership philosophy centered on building high-performing teams through training, structure, and clear standards. Carrying that mindset into the private sector, James saw the opportunity to raise expectations within the security industry—moving beyond staffing models toward professional, mission-driven operations.
As President and CEO of Stoic Guardian Group, James leads strategic growth, operational execution, and leadership development. He is committed to ensuring that Stoic’s teams operate with discipline, professionalism, and readiness, setting a higher standard for security and public safety in the communities they serve.

Stephanie Suarez Gonzalez is a public health executive whose work is grounded in the belief that safety should be proactive, equitable, and people-centered. With a background in public health leadership and operations, she brings a prevention-focused lens to an industry that has traditionally been reactive.
Currently pursuing her Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) and holding a Master’s in Public Health, Stephanie applies public health principles such as risk prevention, systems thinking, and community trust to the design of Stoic Guardian Group’s operations. Her experience in strategic planning, compliance, and process improvement ensures that Stoic’s services are intentional, accountable, and aligned with real-world community needs.
At Stoic Guardian Group, Stephanie leads daily operations, compliance, and service innovation, helping bridge the gap between public safety and professional security. Her focus is not just on protecting spaces, but on building systems that support safer, healthier environments for the people within them.
